I did it! The first section of stitches of the stitch sampler throw is now complete. Well it’s been completed for a few days now but I am just now getting some time to get the update posted here. I couldn’t put this section down and had it done in just a couple of days. I’m trying to get through 2 sections of stitches each week. That should keep me on track to have this completed by the end of September. Just in time for the cool fall weather here in Wisconsin.
The first section of stitches is a broken rib basket weave section and it ended up being approximately 5″ long. I did have intentions of making every section of stitches 6″ long but I decided to mix it up and the lengths will vary based on the stitches. Here is the pattern for this section of the throw.
Row 1: K7, (P1, K2) repeat stitches in () to last 8 stitches, P1, K7
Row 2: K7, Purl to last 7 stitches, K7
Row 3: K7, (P4, K2) repeat stitches in () to last 11 stitches, P4, K7
Row 4: K7, Purl to last 7 stitches, K7
Row 5: K7, (P1, K2), repeat stitches in () to last 8 stitches, P1, K7
Row 6: K7, Purl to last 7 stitches, K7
Row 7: K7, (P1, K2, P3) repeat stitches in () to last 11 stitches, P1, K2, P1, K7
Row 8: K7, Purl to last 7 stitches, K7
Repeat Rows 1-8 3 more times (total of 32 rows knitted for this section)
