The Ross hat pattern has instructions for knitting my hat in 4 different yarn weights. It can be knit in 1-super fine (fingering/sock) yarn, 3-light weight (dk) yarn, 4-medium weight (worsted) yarn and 5-bulky weight yarn. You can knit the hat using solid, variegated or self striping yarn.
